About Us
HISTORY
Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Preschool, founded in 1962 as a non-profit, Christ-centered early childhood ministry, is grounded in the love of Christ and dedicated to nurturing every child with compassion, respect, and joy. We seek to support the spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, and social development of each child entrusted to our care.
MISSION
Our mission is to create a welcoming, faith-filled learning community where children discover their unique gifts, grow in God’s love, and develop the confidence to explore, create, and solve problems. In an emotionally secure and stimulating environment. Children begin to learn how to follow directions, make plans, accept responsibility, understand others, and share ideas.
PHILOSOPHY
Through a rich, play-based curriculum—including math, language arts, science, creative expression through art, dance, music, drama, and outdoor physical play—we encourage curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning. We believe it is essential for young children to learn about Jesus and His deep love for them. To nurture their spiritual awareness, the children attend chapel twice a month, and our staff begins each day with prayer.
“Learning through Love gives Life” remains the heart of our ministry—and the experience we hope to provide for every precious child.
